In accordance with Article 12 of the National Parks Law, land within Kenting lighthousesthe park is divided into ecological protection areas, general protection areas, scenic areas, recreation areas, and cultural and historical sites according to current land use and resource characteristics to serve the purpose of conservation, research, and recreation. Distinct protection plans have been set up for each of the five areas to preserve the uniqueness of the park.
